The fastest way to report a bug is from inside the game: choose About Kresling Passage… from the Settings menu (the gear), or from the Kresling Passage menu on a Mac, then choose Report a Bug…. It starts an email with your app version, system version, and device model already filled in, which helps me track the problem down. On Apple TV, it shows a code you can scan with your iPhone to start the same email.

Kresling Passage is made by one person, so please allow a few days for a reply.

Which devices can play Kresling Passage?

Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro, each running version 26 or later of its operating system (macOS 26, iOS 26, iPadOS 26, tvOS 26, visionOS 26).

How do I fly?

Pick any charted star from the Go To menu and the autopilot flies you there, steering around anything in the way. You can also click or tap a star or planet in the scene (on Apple TV, aim the center crosshair at it and click). To take the stick yourself:

Mac and hardware keyboards: W/S thrust, A/D or ←/→ yaw, ↑/↓ pitch, Q/E roll, R resonance ping.
iPhone, iPad, and Vision Pro: choose Fly to show on-screen controls.
Apple TV: press Play/Pause to switch to manual flight, then slide on the remote's touch surface to steer and hold it clicked for thrust.

Can I use a game controller?

Yes, on every platform. Triggers thrust forward and back, the left stick steers, the right stick rolls, and A (Cross on PlayStation controllers) sounds the resonance ping. In flight, X opens communications with the nearest species, Y opens the Field Guide, and Menu opens help. Controllers also navigate every menu in the game.

I can't find my ship.

Choose Go to Ship to snap the camera back to the Wayfinder, or turn on Show Ship Locator to keep an on-screen marker pointing at her.

I'm stuck and don't know what to do next.

Talk to everyone, and ask about everything. When you learn something new, check back with species you've already met — knowledge travels well in the cluster. The Field Guide is your notebook; rereading it often shows the threads you haven't pulled yet. The in-game help has a few more spoiler-light hints under If You're Stuck.

How do saves and iCloud sync work?

The game autosaves as you play, and you can keep additional saves in numbered slots. If you're signed in to iCloud, your saves sync automatically to your other devices through your own private iCloud account, and the newest save wins. Play on one device at a time for the smoothest experience.

My progress isn't showing up on another device.

Make sure both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud turned on.
Check that iCloud has storage space available.
Give it a minute, then quit and reopen the game on the second device.

How do I adjust or mute sounds and voices?

Open the Settings menu (the gear) and choose Sound Settings… for separate Master, Ambient, SFX, Weapons, Engine, and Voices volumes, plus Mute Voices and Mute All. The opening story has its own Read aloud checkbox, and the gear menu's Show Intro on New Game controls whether the story appears at all.

How do I start over?

Choose New Game… from the Settings menu (the gear). To remove all of your saves, including the copies in iCloud, see Deleting your data in the privacy policy.

Does Kresling Passage collect my data or show ads?

No. There are no ads, no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. See the privacy policy for details.
